Practice Manager (Full-Time)
- 37 hours per week – full time
- £45,000 – £54,000 per annum (depending upon experience)
Portmill Surgery is a friendly and forward-thinking GP Practice situated in North Hertfordshire serving a patient population of circa 14,000. We are a long-established, stable and innovative teaching and training GMS Practice which falls under the East & North Hertfordshire Commissioning Group. The Practice is also highly active in its well-functioning and supportive Primary Care Network (PCN) where its PCN Clinical Director is also one of Portmill Surgery’s GP Partners. We were rated “Good” in all areas at our last CQC Inspection in March 2017 and annual review in January 2020.
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished, experienced and highly motivated Practice Manager to lead our growing administrative and clinical team. The successful candidate must provide solid leadership and have a sound knowledge of HR, business management, finance, information management and technology.
The focus of the role will be on developing the skills of our growing Practice team, managing the Practice finances, including income generation, and working with the Partners to implement and promote agreed health care strategies. We will consider candidates from backgrounds outside of primary care who can demonstrate a sound knowledge of primary health care and who possess the required transferrable management skills.
