Practice Nurse

There is usually a nurse available at the surgery throughout the working day.  Our practice nurses are experienced Registered General Nurses who have extra training in cervical smears, asthma, diabetes, foreign travel, family planning, HRT and health promotion.  We are at the forefront of expanding the role of the practice nurse.

Health Care Assistant

We have Health Care Assistants who conduct health and registration checks and assist the other clinicians at the Practice.  You can make an appointment with them for dressings, removal of sutures and to have your blood pressure checked.

The Community Nurses

These are often better known as district nurses and provide nursing services in the patient's own home.  They work closely with the doctors and our practice nurses.  Messages for them may be left at the surgery.
