Appointments

We operate an appointment system but if you need to be seen urgently you will be seen on the same day.

We ask patients to come to the surgery if possible.  This makes the best use of doctors' time and means you can usually be seen earlier.  If you are too ill to come to the surgery, please make your request on (01462) 451575 between 8:00am and 10:30am and give an indication of your problem to the receptionist so that we can deal with the most urgent cases first.

Some consultations will taken longer than others and sometimes emergencies occur.  These can lead to delays, even when you have an appointment.  In these circumstances we ask for your patience.

You can make appointments between:
    8:00am - 12:30pm
    2:00pm - 6:30pm

Please telephone on (01462) 451575 for appointments only.  We would ask for you to ring for non-urgent appointments when surgery is not in progress, so that we can deal with others as efficiently as possible.

Extended Hours Service

If you find it difficult to attend appointments during normal hours due to work/family commitments, please phone and book an appointment to see a doctor or a nurse during our Extended Hours Service. This service is not for emergencies.

The Extended Hours Service will be based on a rota system and will take place on certain weekday mornings between 7am - 8am and some evenings from 6.30pm - 8pm as well as on one Saturday per month from 8am to 10am.

Your Doctor

We always try and arrange an appointment with the doctor of your choice.  It is best to see the same doctor for one illness.

Emergencies

Outside surgery hours the Primary Care Trust commissions an "out of hours" service between 6:30pm and 8:00am. To contact the emergency doctor, telephone (01462) 451575 .  A recorded message will tell you the contact telephone number.  If you require health information or advice, you may phone NHS Direct, a 24 hour nurse led advice line on 0845 4647 (If calling from a cable line, please add 48 to the end of the phone number).

Minor Operations

We have separate appointments for minor surgical procedures.  There is a regular clinic for the treatment of warts and verrucas.
